Dever Valley Gundogs

Quality Working Cocker Spaniels

Dever Valley Gundogs is a small kennel in Hampshire, owned by Nick Cook and Kris Thompson, specialising in cocker spaniels for the field.

Our kennel affix is Meadowsedge, and we occasionally breed a litter of pups for own needs. These are from only the best, proven dogs, and from carefully selected matings. All of our adult dogs are health checked for glaucoma, PRA and DNA screened for hereditary PRA. Puppies are occasionally available for sale to working homes.

Our dogs are worked on a number of local shoots, beating and picking-up, in addition to competing in field trials. Meadowsedge cockers regularly feature in the awards at trials, handled by both Nick and Kris. This season our second Meadowsedge  cocker bitch won a field trial, FTW Meadowsedge Crackerjack winning the Glamorganshire novice cocker back-to-back with her litter sister FTW Meadowsedge Comet.

Nick is a committee member and treasurer of the Meon Valley Working Spaniel Club.
