Teal is a small, very fast and biddable bitch with an excellent mark. She is an all round gundog and is out beating and picking up during the season. She also had a super first season of competitions winning five field trial awards, including her novice trial win at Glamorganshire in Dec 09, taking home the Maesydderwen Trophy. She continued to progress over the 2010/11, season, with 5 awards and guns’ choice in open trials, culminating with 2nd place at the Meon Valley open trial.

A small, stylish, and hard hunting bitch, Switch is a great shooting dog and superb company as well as being the kennel’s comedian. She is regularly out working in the beating line and picking-up all season long and in her spare time has won 16 awards in field trials to date, including a fourth, 3x thirds and a second place. She has also been awarded guns’ choice 3 times, and an award for best hunting dog. She won the Midland Counties novice cocker trial in October 2010, with an excellent display of hard hunting in very thick bramble.

Diva is our foundation bitch and came to us in 2006 at aged 4 years from Graigour Gundogs in the Borders. She is an excellent worker with an exceptional natural pattern and uncanny nose. Very nicely bred, Diva has produced us some superb pups including two field trial winners. Although a good solid all rounder, her first love remains being out hunting white grass on the rabbits. She is one of our favourites and at 10 years old is enjoying semi-retirement here in Hampshire, though she was still out picking-up on pheasant, partridge and grouse this season.

Maesydderwen Simmer

FTCH Maesydderwen Scimitar x FTCH Priorsmeadow Dancer

We are delighted to have this lovely little Maesydderwen thoroughbred in our kennels. If she ends up a fraction as good as her sire and dam then she’ll be a cracking little dog! Simmer is now 16mths old and a fantastic natural hunter, very exciting to watch and handle. To date she’s run in a few tests to get her used to competing and already she’s come away with first place in puppy, novice and open.  Lets hope she can carry that success through to her first season of trialling.

‘Wee Mij’ is a small, pretty bitch with a stylish hunting action and a very keen retrieve. Very much like her dam Diva in nature, she is a real pleasure to have around, eager to please, and extremely biddable to train. She is now with our friends Andrew and Fiona Robinson at Whaupley Gundogs, and doing extremely well, with 3 awards in her first 3 trials, including a 3rd place. We’re looking forward to seeing how she goes next season!
